Do any of you have experience recruiting someone to replace you and continue your micropractice? Were any of you that replacement? How did it work (or not)? I am planning to retire next year, though my partner may continue a little longer. Our replacement would pick up our combined panels, ultimately. We have already spoken to a sympathetic recruiter who gets the micropractice idea: I am more interested in tales of actual experience than in helpful but speculative suggestions. I am also prepared to learn that no members have such experience to share.
Your Family Doc, P.C.
We will be looking to possibly do this in a few years, and I think that reaching out to docs who are reasonably well into their career, working for large organizations, perhaps frustrated and looking for a change would be the way to go.
